SARP Supports The Work Of Its Partners Responding To Gulf Oil Spill

May 28th, 2010

The members of SARP would like to express our deep concern regarding the devastating effects of the Gulf oil spill disaster.  The extent of this catastrophe is far-reaching and rapidly changing.  The continued crisis threatens the economy, health, and quality of life of the people of the Gulf, the water quality and ecological health of the coastal waterways, and the lives of countless fish and wildlife species.

We support the work of all of the agencies, professionals and volunteers that are involved in the response and recovery efforts.  In an effort to demonstrate this support, SARP will post links to critical, real-time Gulf oil spill updates and information hosted by key agency partners, as well as links to ways that individuals can volunteer to be directly involved in various aspects of the response, including ways to report oil on land and impacted wildlife.

We encourage you to refer to the following resources, like that of the Deep Water Horizon Response, The Official Site Of The Deep Water Horizon Unified Command, to learn more about the latest scientific data and perspectives on the Gulf oil spill and what you can do to support the response in the affected Gulf states.
