A brief survey of the status of current state policies related to instream flow protection was followed by a demonstration of a tool to calculate environmental flows. This tool is a science-based model -- one way to consider the needs for instream flow protection when revising state water management. The tool was developed by Chris Konrad of The Nature Conservancy.
